Denture Implants

When dentures are moving around in the mouth because there is no bone to support them, chewing and speaking becomes difficult. The hard plastic moves around and rubs the gum, causing ulceration and pain. Without teeth, there is nothing to hold them down, so food particles get underneath and cause pain and limit the enjoyment of food. A laugh or cough can cause embarrassment as teeth move around.

Denture implants make all the difference. Implants can hold the denture firmly in place while talking, laughing and chewing.

A simple cost-effective solution allows for 2 implants that keep your denture stable, yet allow for removal for cleaning.

The best alternative to dentures is to replace them with a fixed bridge. Implants transfer all of the biting forces to the jaw bone and take all of the pressure off the gums. This solution feels like having natural teeth again.

Sometimes in order to give the best appearance and allow easy cleaning, dentures can be attached to an implant bar. Known as 'Implant over-dentures' this solution also transfers all biting forces to the jaw bone yet allows for removal when required.

Whatever your specific denture problems, implants are an extremely successful treatment that can offer an improvement in speaking, comfort and chewing ability. Ring now to find out more!
